the books are brilliant i've read them all they are hilarious and MUCH better than the tv show but they are wearing a little thin now.

his other books set in scotland are equally funny and there is a brilliant one about a german proffesors

he is one of my favourite writers right now

Does Anyone Here Read Alexander McCall Smith?

First learned of his work from my mom, and more recently, from a travel writing colleague. Have yet to read him- is anyone here a fan?

If you read him, I'd be interested in knowing what it is about the work you enjoy?
