Back when I used to dabble at golf I did not practice for precisely that reason. In the unlikely event I hit a good/miraculout/non lousy shot, I did want not to waste it.

I have never had a hole-in-one but of course keep hoping and trying. But one of my nightmares is to be up on a par 3, dump my tee shot in the water, then hit the second tee shot into the cup.

I have never had a hole-in-one but I have holed out four times from distances ranging from 50 to 200 yards.
