I really thought you'd have Carl Lewis in there somewhere. :P

My other theory was you were going to analyse 4x100 times for groups like the Beatles or the Four Tops? Who would the Jackson Five drop? Final leg, Frank Sinatra or Sammy Davis, Jr?
Other than my family I have four real passions in life. Music being ahead of football, track and literature. I guess..hobbies..might fit. I grew up listening to Hank Wiliams and Patsy Cline. Then here came rock & roll. I got into them old blues after reading about who was influensing these rockers. Who is Muddy Waters? Who was influensed by Robert Johnson who was influensed by Lonnie Johnson......and so it went.

The fastest group...hmm...The Olympics of course

The Rolling Stones getting their name from an old Muddy Waters tune.."Rolling Stone" Robert Wilkins first recorded "Rolling Stone" way back in the late 20's, Waters might have been influensed there but the Stones weren't.

    Music

I don't delve into my love for music "here" for some unknown reason. I 'm also into the historical aspects of it like I am sports and literature. I have that thrist to know the origins.

My music library is immense, it starts with them old antique blues from the 20's. I've got all those old blues cats like Blind Lemon, Charley Patton, Ma Rainey, Bessie Smith etc. Those are the famous ones. It's the obscure ones that are the most interesting. Some only recording one record . "Cairo" is a blues classic, a St.Louis barber named Henry Spaulding recorded it in 1928 or so. Yep..one record.

    Ok anyway...

If I could only have the music of twenty artists/groups.....

    Robert Johnson
    The Rolling Stones
    Muddy Waters
    Tom Waits
    Hank Williams
    Lightnin' Hopkins
    Bonnie Raitt
    Memphis Minnie
    Merle Haggard
    The Doors
    Elvis
    The Beatles
    Charley Patton
    John Lee Hooker
    Jimi Hendrix
    Frank Sinatra
    Led Zeppelin
    Chris Thomas King
    Lucinda Wiliams
    Townes Van Zandt

I think that gives me enought vareity.
Working...
