Each of the other artists honoured were "artists of the decade" during the past 50 years. I thought the tributes to Marty Robbins, Loretta Lynn, Alabama and Garth Brooks by Keith Urban, Faith Hill, Montgomery Gentry and Martina McBride were all excellent. And Jamie Foxx ain't exactly "old country" but he sure nailed that song (You look so good in love). I thought it was a great show, and thoroughly enjoyed watching it twice. I found myself wondering at how many "units sold" those artists represented. I think the numbers would be staggering.Leave a comment:

Gag -- I can't stand Taylor Swift. Tammy Wynette and Patsy Cline have to be rolling over in their graves. I wish I could have ripped that headband off of Taylor's head.
Anyhow, George is country. Even though he can't write a song, he can sure deliver one.

For anyone even remotely interested in Country Music, this show is not to be missed. The list of performers is amazing, and it just started 15 minutes ago.
Between the Wings/Hawks, and the Lakers/Nuggets and this show, my remote is in high gear !!!
