I don't know where I was; we had talkies in Oklahoma before WWII but I had never heard of the the Nicholas Brothers.
So, I just watched about ten of their clips on YouTube. Those guys are good!!!!
I don't know what the technology was in the 1930s to allow them to dance on the wall and ceilings..maybe they could really do that...
Can't tell how tall they are, they seem to be of average height, but I would like to see the one on the right TJ.

    Not really close.
YES EVEN THEY WOULD ADMIT IT
Gregory Hines was tremendous - did not know of his brother.

Nicholas Brothers video - amazing athletes, eh? That staircase with the 2-3-foot steps looks to be about 15-20 feet high in all and they jumped/danced up it with no problems at the end of a long dance number.

I have no idea of any of their actual sing ability, but surely this was a dub job, TV of that era being what it was.

Here they are from 1964 which highlights Harold's singing. Older brother Fayard is 50 but can still do the splits. There is an "OUCH" moment in this clip.

That's a 3:10 clip; here's a 4:47 one. The additional footage is mostly Cab Calloway, but picks them up a bit earlier in the routine, shows the whole thing.

I remember seeing them in That's Entertainment and as I recall Fred Astaire (narrator) was lavish in his praise. They certainly blew me away.
