  • Kareem ignored on NBA Finals

I could be wrong, but it sure looked like it was Kareem Abdul-Jabbar handing out hats to the Lakers after they won it. But ABC never showed his face and none of the commentators mentioned that Kareem was there.

Ian Eagle and Carol Lewis might be bad, but they don't compare, bad-wise, to the guys doing the NBA Finals. They probably had no idea who Kareem was anyhow. Kareem might have been before their time, but that's no excuse. Bill Russell was before my time, but I sure know who he is.

Maybe as I'm posting this, the announcers have recognized Kareem. That would be nice, but they should have done it earlier. This is why I can't stand the NBA anymore.

Why should they mention kareem?I saw him standing with the Lakers , and he had his day in the sun, but it was not today.Kareem is going to get a ring with the rest of them plus he is getting a nice salary for being Bynums mentor, so dont cry for the big fella.

Well, when the discussion of greatest player comes up all the time with Kobie, he should get mentioned. He is after all the leading scorer in the history of the NBA. and I think he has as many rings and MVP awards as MJ. IMHO, he is the greatest.

When it comes to individual titles no one will ever touch Willam Felton Russell and his amount 11 titles in 13 seasons.

Agreed! In addition to points, MJ was amazing at making everyone else that much better around him. A true MVP. Even the greatest say he's the greatest.
If you're ever walking down the beach and you see a girl dressed in a bikini made out of seashells, and you pick her up and hold her to your ear, you can hear her scream.
