    Ice Age Movies

I loved the two Ice Ages movies, two of the few movies I have ever voluntarily watched more than once, but I am a tad disconcerted by the upcoming Dawn of the Dinosaurs, inasmuch as dinosaurs went extinct 60 million years ago and the last Ice Age peaked about 15,000 years ago. :?
Or should I find something else to worry about?

Well, if it's the worst of your worries then I don't think you need worry about your worrying too much.

I'd not heard of this Dawn of the Dinosaurs of which you speak. I must look it up.

And yes, that little squirrel with the acorns cracks me up and was the best thing about the movies. It's the best bit of cartoon animation since the looney tunes were at their height!

        I say enjoy the show.

The Earth is only about 10,000 years old.

Give or take a week or two.

I had assumed it was a parody of 'the land that time forgot'. Obviously there was a little artistic license taken in that movie.

My thoughts too. Surely you realise it was created in 4004 B.C.? :P

                A week, or 2, or 3, or 4, or 234,000,000,000 weeks, no difference, really 8-) .

I calculate the age of the earth, conservatively, at 260,000,000,000 weeks but, lets not dither about a few eons. The length of the weeks may have been a bit nebulous in the early going.
Heck, the entire world has not yet accepted the Gregorian calendar and we keep tinkering with it because of those pesky extra seconds every year.

Hey, I think we've ALL had weeks that have gone on for eons!

What's the fuss? Of course cavemen and dinosaurs co-existed - Fred Flintstone is proof of that!

True, but conventional scientific evidence, based on deterioration of mineral inclusions, is that the oldest rocks found on earth to date are 4.5 to 5 billion years old... and these rocks were derived from older rocks, so, you are right, nobody knows how old the earth is but we have evidence of how young it is.
