  • Baseball's Equivalent of ATFS/FAST

    http://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/03/sport ... odayspaper

Except that SABR has 6000+ members, and ATFS and FAST combined have less than one-tenth of that. But it's encouraging that they too feel their numbers are graying, that the average age of their membership is now 51+. It's not just us!

By the way, the author got Ed Konetchy's position wrong. His correct position was ????

ISOH - the Olympic Historians group has about 400. How many are in the NUTS?

I knew there was one person out there who knew this.

Would you have gotten any of the questions?

I could have named the pitcher who faced Eddie Gaedel, but not the catcher.

...and don't forget Jim Delsing...the player that pinch ran for Gaedel.

I may have gotten two of the questions (Jon Matlack and Bob Swift) but that's about it. These guys are in a league of their own.
