My new #1 reason to hate bowling

An 81-year-old lady just bowled a perfect game. I broke 200 once in my life and that was pure luck.
I haven't bowled in a while, but getting stationed in Iceland one winter and then Sicily the next summer must have gotten me about 1000 games!

Just curious.. is Iceland in the winter much different from Iceland in the summer?
Same question for Sicily in the summer and winter.

Well, yes, and in the summer there are many hours of daylight. I was wondering about the daily temps.

Just to stay on topic. I've never hated bowling as it has never been on my horizon. I did play once but never broke 100. Actually, I'm not even sure if I broke 50?

I haven't bowled much. I just never liked the idea of having to be someplace every Tuesday night for league bowling. Like golf, one's bowling score doesn't improve much playing only once a year...some years

In addition to being very dark in the winter, it's obviously very cold. The summers there are very pleasant. Sicily is as hot as Florida in the summer, but quite nice in the winter. I got the wrong end of the stick both times.

I've never been to Iceland, but from what I've heard, the climate there is quite temperate. Obviously pretty cool on average, but without impossibly cold winters. But obviously for someone coming from Florida, winters anywhere in Europe will seem very cold.

It is probably warmed by the gulf stream. Certainly the west coast of Scotland benefits from it.

Or, if you'd seen Mighty Ducks II you'd know that "Greenland is covered in ice, but Iceland is very nice."

Once we flew by IcelandAir. It was the first week in June and had a stopover in Keflavik. Around 7AM, as we landed, the temp was below freezing.

Milder in winter than I would have thought.
