Actually Rev.13:17 is about people not be able to buy or sell anything without the mark of the beast in/on their forehead or right hand.

You are thinking of Rev.7:9 which is not pertaining to the 144,000 which are from every tribe of Israel. The multitude in verse 9 are from every tribe, peoples, tongue, and nation - that is Gentiles.
