Just wanted to say your efforts are appreciated:

For keeping the place organized (thread wise) during the biggies (NCAA, US Champs, & Worlds)
For TRYING to keep the peace between individuals, and making new posters feel welcome
For quickly shutting down those topics that start to get out of control
For being fair in your punishment…you usually give a warning before a smack-down...even when you're insulted
For sharing your inside knowledge on some topics. Yes, we’d like more, but then you wouldn’t be trusted as an insider

Not trying to get points – just feel it’s important to offer a virtual “tip” (30%) to a place that I frequent daily – even if I don’t always partake in the lively “dinner conversations”. Sometimes, it’s more entertaining to simply listen in.

As one with my own Forum and blog, I fully appreciate how hard it is to maintain both, keep the peace, fend off spam, etc. So appreciation from the users is always welcome.

I also give gh and the mods credit for being able to take abuse. My own philosophy is that if you're prepared to dish it out, you should also be prepared to take it.

Although I don't hesitate to pull the plug on rude/crude behavior on my blog or Forums aimed at other masters athletes, I pretty much leave flames directed at me alone.

I think gh shares that stance pretty much.

Yes, this site is a good thing, and the maintenance crew does a good job of keeping things running smoothly. The eTN is a really fine service, for which I am grateful. I've been back a week and still havn't gotten to the last TFN, but I sure as hell have read my NLs

i was bummed about the closing of trackshark because of my absolute hate of the dystat/letsrun message boards and the nonsense that goes on in both. im glad that there is at least one t&f message board that strives to keep things clean and allow people to form and discuss their own opinions but forcing them to have the balls to face any possible repercussions from doing so.

That's a laugh. Try using an innocuous word like "inexplicable" and see what happens to you. The bad kids come out and throw rocks at your house.
