I assume he did against UCLA also.

Florida has won this 23-13, but a very boring game, because Urban played it very close to the vest all the way. Tebow had a INT and a fumble, but the game was never close, despite the lack of blowout.

How does USC always manage to lose to TERRIBLE teams?! They just lost 13-16 to the hapless Huskies!

That was a very personal game for the Huskies head coach having been just recently a Trojan. All I say is they better fall farther than OU. OU is putting a serious hurting on Tulsa who has been the #1 ranked offense in the country for two years straight (45-0). Landry Jones has six TD passes to break Sam's record.

Anyone else think USC may be living on reputation and headed for a tough season?
SC is a good team. They'll win the Rose Bowl but they are not what they have been in past years.

They'll have to get there first. There are some good teams in their way.

Last season Texas Tech knocked off Texas the #1 team, rose to #2 themselves and for a while had a magical season.

This year in Austin they earned some respect by going nose to nose with the Longhorns is a mostly defensive struggle. Props to Tech for not being an easy out.

It's going to take a lot of good luck for them to make the Rose Bowl with 2 conference losses. They already have one (thanks to UW) and it's a rock-solid guarantee that UCLA will beat them this year. That't 2 losses and and El Paso-bound (The Brut Cologne Sun Bowl).

On the T&F front, Jeff Demps had a nice TD on Saturday for the Gators (even though it was just a few yards, his lightning speed was very evident) and former CA state 100m champ Jahvid Best of the Cal Bores had 5 TDs and is looking like a Heisman front-runner.

Rich, thought you might enjoy this account, written by a Bruin, of the Tennessee football experience.

Cincinnati vs. Florida for the BCS Championship. You heard it here first.

UC's schedule suggests a strong possibility of 12-0(if they can get by Pitt in Pittsburgh on 12/5), and if that happens it's hard to imagine them not in the top 2 of the BCS when all the bloodshed in the Big 12 and SEC is over. What about Penn State you say? Child please lol.

It would be a very entertaining game. The two best offenses in the game, and the two best QB's(so far anyway), with Tony Pike likely the best NFL style QB prospect.

You're right of course - after that display against Tennessee it's hard to see the Gators beating Alabama.

We shall see what we shall see. Just for funsies, shall we have a small gentleman's bet on who is higher ranked at the end of the season, UF or UC? :-)

The storylines would be rich in a UC/Florida game. Urban Meyer is an Ohio native and a UC grad, playing for the Bearcats in the mid-80's. His first coaching job was as an assistant at St. Xavier High here in town. His father still lives here.

Cincinnati only has to be in the top 2, and that was the only prediction I made.
