I've said it before and I'll say it again. Besides his accomplishments, the thing that makes Bolt so marketable is his ability to switch from a Jamaican to an American dialect effortlessly. It's hard to believe that he never attended an American university and that he has never been based in the U.S. when you hear him speak, because he sounds more like an American than some Jamaicans I know who have been here for five years or more.

I saw it on ESPN news. Yeah, it looked like him and everyone that was there had a really good time and enjoyed it. He also when to Hartford, Connecticut, by which he and his coach got inducted into the Cricket Hall of Fame. They are first non-players to be inducted. Word!???! http://www.trackalerts.com/?p=3764

Bolt said that he doesn't want to run the 400 because the training is too hard, but he believes that eventually he'll be persuaded to suck it up and give it a shot. He also said that he probably won't get serious about the long jump until later in his career when Father Time starts to catch up with him, and the young bucks are able to beat him.

I saw this yesterday, Bolt is hilarious!!
Originally posted by SpeedfirstBolt is going to breakfast this morning, don't miss it and next he'll take a leak.
To think people are actually hating on the man that is shining positive light on a sport that was in decline, the sport that we love.

The best way to send a message that a thread is ridiculous is to just ignore it and not comment.
What's clear is that, BET (106 & Park) wants him, Late Nite wants him, Morning Show wants him, Top Gear likes him, Sports Center has now bought into him, Pschye makes reference to him, T.O. Alludes to him, but track fans reject him, PUMA praises him.
Track fans secretly cannot deal with success, track fans are track's worst enemy! .....Smoke was really hitting at something you know.

Know what's really ridiculous:
No one saw it fit to mention that Bolt was being a good embassador declaring the field is now clean and inviting outsiders to come join in...Yes it was in that same interview.
Everytime a comment comes up that meet X could relly be a good one or Athlete B could really be big outside of the sport; track fans (at all levels of fandom not just the dumb ones) are the first ones to remind everyone else that "It's track you know after all and you know how poor this sport is, I don't think people wan to see a guy might turn out dirty and yada..yada.."
Trying hard to see how much Bolt is not as big as Tiger or Becks or Marion or Michael rather than seeing that he is definately not going to be looked over like many who came and went and were darn good. And that he is pulling many careers with him.

That said and given that you have quoted me.
You should have first taken your own advise before currupting a thread meant for positive thinking, regardless of how utopic you saw it to be.
You are the one who summarized posts or views coming from threads like these to be "overkill" those contribute to them obviously don't.
Also remember that the Jesus/Bolt thing came about from folks who share your point of view, who were being sarcastic to get their point across, so there, you have negeleted to be impartial but to be unprecise and subjective.
P.S....and no, I don't speak for track fans any less than you do or did.

Bolt definately made some good in-roads there, been a while since I've seen an athlete this effervescent pulling everyone to him evn got Sanya a piece of the lime light.
I totally respect him speaking out for clean performances in the sport. I personally am looking forward to seeing him on Late with Jimmy Kimmel or is it that former TRL dude? Sad that he won't win them all though....
Thanks for that one Walt. I would take being a Bolt enthusiast anyday over being an apologist for a discreditted athlete.
