  • Stealing home plate

Came across another uncommon baseball feat while watching "The Sandlot" with my kids tonight. Some stealing home trivia. Stealing second, third, and home in succession is a rare one.

Too bad Pete Reiser's career was cut short; 7 steals of home in '46, but isn't one of the guys with 10 or more.

And only two guys on the 10-or-more list who played while I was alive: Rod Carew and Paul Molitor.

Correct - JR was before my time.

The first MLB game that I ever saw was a game between the Dodgers and the Braves at Ebbets Field. The Braves won, 8-1. The only Dodger run came when JR stole home.
