The Denver Post, in a Saturday editorial advocating that Denver bid for the 2022 Winter OG, made a rather offhand, blanket statement about how hosts have made a profit on the OG ever since LA 84. Obviously that depends on what you put in each column of the balance sheet, but my impression is that most OGs result in overall financial loss to the host nation or city. A brief google search did not turn up a list of final profit/loss for each OG of the last three decades. Anyone know where such a list exists?
