Is it wrong that the first thing I thought of upon hearing this story is Carl Weathers on Happy Gilmore?

Used to golf regularly on the University course in Gainesville, Florida. There were holes with water that had gators in them. Ball near the water, take a quick peak, then take a penalty stroke.

Why take a penalty stroke because some stupid gater is there? Take a free drop and have the pro shop replace your ball for free. They are the ones who failed to get rid of the big mouth monster. Scheesch!

The exception is of course, unless the gaters are there to keep the population of northerners down. Locals get a free drop and northerners must play it where it lies.

I was running/walking quite a few holes right near there ( Hilton Head) just 5 days ago, hoping to see some gators. I did not see any, and in hindsight, I guess that's good !
