  • Purdue - the new QBU?

I can’t help but notice that the quarterbacks for two of the remaining four undefeated teams in the NFL are Purdue alums — Drew Brees and Kyle Orton. So whaddya think? Is Purdue the new Quarterback U now?

P.S. I just live in this area, I’m a Virginia alum.

This is just a tail end (well, Curtis Painter is really a tail end). Just for the last 50 or so years; Len Dawson, Bob Griese, Mike Phipps, Gary Danielson, Scott Campbell, Mark Herrman, Jim Everett, Jeff George (sort of).

      You got something there.

I always thought of Miami and BYU as the schools with the QB's. Stanford did have John Elway, Jim Plunkett and John Brodie. Funny how USC has never had a really great QB at the NFL level. Carson Palmer is good but he's not among the great ones. The Big12 has never had a great QB at the NFL level either.

Technically correct, but the schools in the Big 12 have produced a handful of NFL greats:
