`Diff'rent Strokes' star Gary Coleman dies

By JENNIFER DOBNER Associated Press Writer

PROVO, Utah (AP) - May 28, 2010 -- Gary Coleman, the child star of the smash 1970s TV sitcom "Diff'rent Strokes" whose later career was marred by medical and legal problems, died Friday after suffering a brain hemorrhage. He was 42.

Between Coleman and Dana Plato, both now dead after difficult lives, and Todd Bridges, who had his own demons, the child stars of Diff'rent Strokes had more than their share of post-fame misery.

But then there weren't many young stars of the '80's who didn't.

    RIP Arnold....

Not excusing any of the things that he may have done to others, but I always got the feeling things had been an uphill struggle for the guy all his life.

Note that the media is using the term "brain hemorrhage," instead of pointing out that Coleman died of a Common Stroke.

He was exploited. And since he was also probably doomed, couldn't the network he worked for as a kid have given him some soft job?
