  • Roman Harper is the oldest 28-year-old ever

First, despite his gray hair, Saints defensive back Harper just turned 28 on Saturday, the day before he got caught from behind by Rams quarterback Sam Bradford after a fumble return. Second, after he went to the bench, he was so gassed, he grabbed an oxygen mask for breathing assistance despite the fact that the game was played in New Orleans which sits below sea level. Third, he came up with a cock-and-bull story about running out of bounds to show sportsmanship and not wanting to run up the score on the Rams, and it had nothing to do with Bradford who couldn't have caught him if he had wanted to score a touchdown. Okey dokey Roman. Whatever you say.

That would be Panthers punter Jason Baker who last week made a shoe string tackle on Seahawks running back Leon Washington. However this had more to do with premature celebration, not premature aging.
