  • No need to mow the lawn this weekend.

'The Haddad children of Middletown, Md., have a lot on their minds: school projects, SATs, weekend parties. And parents who believe the earth will begin to self-destruct on Saturday.

“My mom has told me directly that I’m not going to get into heaven,” Grace Haddad, 16, said. “At first it was really upsetting, but it’s what she honestly believes.” '

A LOT of people's credibility is going to be shot come Sunday morning. Why would anyone ever believe anything they have to say again? I just wish I know some of these people, so I could have them sign over all their belongings to me, since they won't be needing them.

During the religious "enthusiasms" of the 1830s~40s, the world ended several times. Amazing how few people noticed...

For years, my drive-home-from-work entertainment in the evenings has been listening to Camping on the radio. Priceless stuff, listening to him explain all the numerology that led to his date-setting. Not to paint with too broad a brush, but those who call in seem to be predominantly those for whom English is a second language, whatever that might indicate.

They may want to hold off giving everything away - the bonehead behind this May 21st nonsense still owns his house in Alameda, CA along with the rest of his worldly possessions.

It clearly means they don't understand what he's saying!

About holding on to that house...well, you know, the real estate market is really down, and given that the world is getting ready to end, that's not helping prices any...

As for me, I'm pretty sure that my creditors will still be able to find me even after the end of the world.

My friends who became Jehovah Witness in 1973 told me their faith said the world would end in 1976, when it didnt they just keep believing everything, didnt even slow em down.

I just envy the astronuts up in the space shuttle! They view that they are gonna have of all the bodies of believers, rising up into the heavens, that is cool!

I just wish I had used up all my vaction time, damn!

You can still skip the afternoon!

They have the National Science Olympiad here in Madison, WI this weekend. I note that the last prizes will be handed out on Saturday. Followed by a dance until midnight. Are they being too optimistic about getting all the prizes awarded in time, or will their party coincide perfectly with the rapture?

                    Quoting a morning DJ today,

"So, if I remember correctly, what I learned in Sunday school 20 years ago was that the rapture takes all the Christians, the world then has 7 years of misery followed by 1,000 years of peace. I knew the only way to achieve worldwide peace was to get rid of all the Christians!"

Oh the irony, as luck would have it, I had planned on spending Saturday completley engulfed in flames from hell and then tossed into an endless pit.

Since it's going to take to October we'll at least get to see the WC's. After that it's all down hill anyway.

I am driving 80 miles to my grandson's baseball tournament tomorrow. It is a good thing that Camping's earthquakes don't start until 6PM. I should be home by then 8-) .

One of the believers is one radio and said that anyone can go to a their local graveyard tomorrow and see the bodies come out of the graves and change into new super bodies, I was gonna drop acid tomorrow but I'm rethinking that!
