Great story. There is a huge difference between Reidt and Camping. While both were raging lunatics, Reidt was a true believer in his prophecy, having given up all of his possessions. Camping (or his followers) hasn't remotely done anything of the kind.

Damn it all to hell, no end of world, which means I have to go to the DMV!

Next up 2012 when the world will surely end.

I took a dart, wrote " Death in a handbasket" on it, closed my eyes and threw it at my calendar for the month of May. Squackswami has established that the world will end or kinda end, next Tuesday, probably around lunch time. Send all your money to me and I will tell you how I can stop this tradgedy.
