The believer I heard on the radio on may 20th was well spoken, coherent and pleasant. It was beezar, a seemingly totally normal human describing millions of graves opening up and bodies flying up into space. I'm betting my life that's not gonna happen.
Really sad/funny video of Camping after the fact http://youtu.be/X2zuGfYawPs

Best line: "I'm not a genius."
His explanation of why it'll REALLY be Oct 21 is a case study in self-delusion.
The way I see it there are only two kinds of people. 1) Those who don't believe in the rapture and end of the world stuff (and of course those folks are sinners or non-believers and so won't be flying up into heaven ) 2) Those who believe in such things and are SURE that they WILL go flying up into heaven (and people that arrogant will be disqualified because of the sin of pride)

I may be wrong but I am sure that the "believers" would be horrified and in total shock if they actually saw graves opening and bodies flying out.
Hey......what happens to those who were cremated and scattered to the winds or the seas? Try and get all those ashes back together in the right positions.

I gottah believe if ya got "created the universe" on your reseme', then a ash reverse would be a piece of pie!

So ain't nobody going no where 'ceptin' The Fire!!

The Big Guy likes me better then Camping. I never put millions of dollars behind some B.S. prediction, whose negative outcome cause some people to commit sucide.
Couldn't there be a third category of believers that don't believe in Camping and are modest enough to believe they wouldn't be raptured even if he was right? They might have a chance of missing out on the

Yes Daisy, you are a genius! It is said the meek shall inherit the world. There is nothing meek about saying you know exactly what the big guy is up to. I dont have a clue and know I'm not even worthy of being saved. So I'm a lock for Rapture! The first Athiest in Heaven.
As a culture, we have one foot in the space age and the other in a voodoo ceremony.
Not so fast with the 'we', mon frère. The lunatic fringe has always existed and will continue to fall for the most nonsensical shams. This represents some small proportion of way less than 1% of the population.
You're too optimistic. There is the hopelessly lunatic fringe, and then there is a much larger group of willfully ignorant & hopefully delusional. What percentage of our population believes in angels, a 6000-yr old earth, and so on? It's higher than you'd think.

A good portion of the latter live here in Colorado Springs, and if i say more, this thread could get torpedoed, so I'll shut up.
