That's not the only BS. Oak Hills Place isn't a town with any of a town's bells and whistle, it's just another subdivision in Baton Rouge. Perhaps it has its own neighborhood association, but that's about it.

That one stood out to me as well as being extremely unlikely. I checked to see if perhaps the stuff is bottled in Oklahoma. It's not.

      • Here is a map of world stereotypes.

From the creators of the map...

"IT IS A PARODY OF HOW PEOPLE OFTEN STEREOTYPIZE AND SIMPLICIZE VARIOUS NATIONS, COUNTRIES AND AREAS."

I did a double take on this one too.. I had/have never heard of Skyy vodka..
A lot of the brands make sense as the home of the company..and, yep, a little strange that no two states had the same favorite.
What does it mean to Google a brand anyway???

Maybe you should google it, or just stop by the store and buy a bottle!

As for BS, Yahoo is the most googled company in California? Why would anyone google Yahoo, much less enough to make this list???

Note that DC tops the list.

Yes, I noted that. What makes this more interesting is that the Government must be the biggest employer in town, but NOBODY who works for the government makes enough to be in the top 1%, at least not through their salary.

                      Coincidence?

Some strange stuff. I've been to Maine and never, either at dinner or anywhere else, seen or heard any reference to durian.

                          • I think not, too. But, as I hope you know, I just post these things when I come across them. Some of them contain obvious nonsense. But that's part of "Fun with maps," isn't it?

My question is why would anyone google Google? Can any resident Oregonian shed light on this?

                              • This food map has to be one of the most questionable maps yet. WTH is durian and flan?
                                ..and pickle in Ok?
