          I agree. For example, the Stade de France lies several km/miles north of the city limits. I've never heard anyone describe the 2003 World Champs as being held somewhere other than Paris.

              They may have been held in St Denis and that is where performances would be attributed to on ranking lists etc but I have never heard anyone talk of the "St.-Denis World Championships".

                          My first inclination was to question the accuracy of a Russian website. Then I noticed that it was Novaya Gazeta, a pro-democracy newspaper whose editor won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2021. They have published a column opposing the war.

                                I couldn't name all the southeastern Euro countries a week ago, but I sure can now. I am ignorant in so many important areas, it seriously pisses me off, which is why wiki is my BFF.
