        LOL. Was that downhill, on roller skates? The M80 world record for a single mile is 6:22. 11:56 for M95.

          That's clearly just a typo, not cluelessness. Towards the end of the article, they give the correct year when he won gold.

          • Here's a new one, when I was looking up info on Gerry Ashworth, Olympic 1964 sprinter. This was included in his bio in a website titled " International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame" :

            " He set the World Record for 100 yards, 9.4 in 1962, and matched it again in 1964. "
