Its one of those shows that my wife and I can agree upon. I'll DVR it and watch no more than 2 episodes at a time.
Either there was an incorrect notice or I read it wrong. All they did was re-run Season 2. In the I may yet be wrong department, I read that PBS is about to show Season 3 of "Vienna Blood".

Silly is demanding entertainment be completely realistic.

I do have one beef with this series of Jack Ryan -- it's too dark. They need some better lighting.

50% of tv and movies are now dark half the time. Either trying to save money on lighting, costumes, or trying to be scary? It’s ridiculous.

Along with the frequently muddied sound! Considering the tech they throw at movies/TV shows and streaming, you would think they could get these key things right! I get much better light & sound levels in the original Star Trek series from the '60s than most anything today.

              re: sound.
Many actors think they're acting gooder when they whisper, so I have to turn it way up . . . and then the commercial comes on and blows us out of the room!!

I have noticed that also.. and it seems more shows are either shot in the dark of b/w or both. And, it is not because I am blind and deaf.

                • The dark muddied sound thing thankfully seems to have passed a little in UK filmed productions. I found it very annoying, for example, when someone gets attacked in a dimly-lit scene and you are left wondering whether you were meant to recognise the assailant or not.

                  • I have finished five of the nine "Parts Unknown" episodes (Myanmar, Tokyo, Thailand, Manila and Hanoi) so far. The episodes on Myanmar and Manila are interesting, but the Hanoi episode is the best among them. It's probably one of the best episodes of the series.

                    • A new series on Peacock called "Poker Face" is worth a watch. If you like Dramedy! Columbo in drag. Not to be taken too seriously just enjoyed.

Watched the first episode last night with my wife. As I understand where it is going, it is sort of a meld between a female Columbo and the Fugitive.

                        • I just binge watched Yellowstone season 5. Is it just me, or is the ranch-overstaffed, over-pick-up'd, and over-helicopter'd for what appears to be maybe 500 but definitely less than 1000 head of cattle?

what's the official helicopter-to-cow conversion factor?

Actually, for a ranch the size of Rhode Island, it is under-cattled. Much of that presumably humongous ranch is mountainous and unsuitable for cattle ranching.

i am a Yellowstone fan but the script is rife with logistical and geographical errors. There is not room between Bozeman and Yellowstone park for a ranch the size of Rhode Island and an Indian Reservation. They use real place names but ignore the fact they routinely make a three-hour drive in 30 minutes. There is no two-lane blacktop road on the Wyoming line desolate enough for the Train Station. There are only three paved entrances on the Montana-Wyoming line. The one presumably close to the ranch is a mile south of Gardiner, MT. The other two are 160 and 240 miles east in central and eastern Mt/Wyo. In the biker episode, Yellowstone is north of the ranch by son and moon placement. I could write a book on script inconsistencies. But it is still a good story when they stick to the main premise.

                              • When I get irritated by TV plot inconsistencies or geographic or chronology details or the way law enforcement agents dress like aging hipsters I find it useful to repeat the refrain to the old Mystery Science Theater theme song:
''If you're wondering how he eats and breathes
And other science facts (la la la)
Then repeat to yourself, "It's just a show
                                I should really just relax"
