  • LSU vs Savannah State

With the new "Final Four" concept in NCAA football, are the days of Goliath vs David with Goliath winning over? Can the big boys really afford to schedule Savannah State, The Citadel, Bethune Cookman anymore? Obviously strength of schedule will now become a really big deal.

So what will those small schools do without those $$$$$$$$ days?

I was wondering the opposite. Now with four teams, going undefeated will guarantee a chance to play for a national title, so strength of schedule might go down for some of the power conferences. There is no incentive to schedule challenging games, except to gain bragging rights and a recruiting edge over rivals, like Florida-Florida State. or Georgia-Georgia Tech

I see teams realizing it will come down to strength of schedule as to just who are these four teams most worthy of being there. They can't let non conference games wth RinkyDinky State and SmalllVille College be a factor.

Alabama will be playing Florida A&M, this is ridiculous and always has been. How about Bama 55 FAMU 3?

Id love to see in December of 2014, Alabama one of 5 one loss teams teams only to have their strength of schedule keep them out of the top two on the BCS.

If we do see a situation like that watch what happens next. Those Goliath vs David games will be dumped. The SWAC/MEAC has no business on the field with any of the power conferences.
