Interesting that his 100 is not fully world-class (10.19), but his 200 is ( 20.14). He is, however, credited with a blazing 4.32 40y.

Im sure there was an FSU guy that could run with him, but they just were not on the field when he was.

What gets me is how little these football announcers know about track. There was another game were a track guy was a running back and we heard..."usually don't see sprinters as running backs". That simply isn't true at all, No no long list but trust me it's a long list of just that. Hell.....O.J.Simpson.

Whitfield is the fastest Nole, he's not on Hil's level.

Hill is one of those rare guys that don't lose much in pads and on grass.

How do you figure? He ran a 10.15 with 2.4w and his 40y time is 4.37. They sound pretty close.

Rocket Ismail the perfect example of that.

                      Hil is a 4.25, 10.19/20.14 guy.

                      Whitfield 4.37, 10.28a/20.66a

Tyreek Hill is a Big12 60 champ also, what has Whitfield done?

Whitfield's time in the 60 was 6.64, which is . . . hmmm . . . the exact same time as Hill's. Hill's 4.25 is as bogus as any other 40 time not done at the NFL combine.

                          Actually Hill has a 6.61.

                          Then we have....

                          Windy 100m Hill 9.98, Whit 10.15
                          Legal 100m Hill 10.19 Whit 10.28
200m not even in the same time zone

When it comes to bogus 40's Hill 4.25, Whit 4.37

I agree with this. The NFL Combine is the place where 4.2 myths go to die.

If 10.26 guy Deion Sanders and 10.3ish guy Chris Johnson can both run a sub 4.30 why couldn't a 10.19 guy?

Tyreek Hill is not just some fast footballer, the guy is a legit sprinter.

Long jumper Marqius Goodwin ran a 4.27 at the combine, he's not beating Hill in any sprint.

Forget Deion Sanders. He ran in the hand-time era before Indianapolis went to its current SAT setup. Also, forget Chris Johnson's high school 10.3, since you yourself have pointed out that the 100-meter dash has nothing to do with the 40-yard dash, and it's intellectually dishonest to judge a 23-year-old by his accomplishments as an 18-year-old anyway. During the nine years of the SAT era, only five people have run 4.2x at the combine:

                                Chris Johnson 4.24
                                Dri Archer 4.26
                                Marquise Goodwin 4.27
                                Jacoby Ford 4.28
                                Demarcus Van Dyke 4.28

FYI, Trindon Holliday only ran 4.34 which makes since considering the fact that Jacoby Ford was consistently faster than him in 2009 in the 60, while Holliday was faster in the 100. At this point all we can do is offer idle and silly speculation and conjecture on whether Hill is faster than Goodwin at 40 yards.
