    The full list of 26 sports to apply is: Air Sports, American football, baseball-softball, bowls, bowling, bridge, chess, dance sport, floorball, flying disc, karate, korfball, netball, orienteering, polo, racquetball, roller sports, sport climbing, squash, sumo, surfing, tug of war, underwater sports, waterski and wakeboard and wushu.

      The only ones worth consideration. Netball should be the first choice and they won't even need new stadium infrastructure for it.

        It's hard to imagine that the IOC would be the slightest bit interested in "sports" like bridge and chess, which do not involve physical activity and which are not at all telegenic.

            The ridiculous thing is not that bridge and chess are applying, but that they've implemented drug testing programs so they can apply.

                  Bridge and chess have both been part of multi-game events like the World Mind Sports Games, but in chess at least they're a complete non-factor.
