  • Travel advice: Central Stockholm to central Oslo

I will be in Stockholm for a meeting during the time of the Bislett games and would like to go over for it. From what I can figure out the cost of flying versus train is approximately the same after you include getting back and forth to the airports. Time wise, flying is quicker by maybe 1.5 ton2 hours, total transit time. Any advice of the advantages of one over the other?

I'm a train freak, so I'm biased, but I'd take the X2000 in a heartbeat (and have done so in the past).

Wonderfully modern high-speed job that America can only dream about. And you're in city center at both ends.

That's kind of where I'm leaning. So excited to go to Bislett.

"leaning" is a great unintentional pun by you, since the X2000 tilts for stability

Note that the Bislett HQ hotel is (or at least was for years; haven't been since '05) the Radisson Blu, which is about 200m from the train station. (which is also where you'll end up if you ride in from the airport). Hotel has a great address: 3 Sonia Henies Plass

It was unintentional since I didn't know that. Now I do!
