That analogy is not very apt in its real sense of what being big implied. They are big in other senses that make it harder to keep them out.

one thing we in the west realized long long ago; centrally planned models generally dont do well in the long run.

Let thousands of coaches freely compete and you will have a more robust system that produces more and better athletes.

And if anyone ever gets caught cheating you wont have your government's fingerprints all over the cheating to embarrass your entire nation.... Just a few rogue coaches here and there. Their sins can be easily compartmentalized and glossed over and the sport can absolve itself effortlessly.
